Krom pisze: @Mixxer5: Please explain, why would your army die when you busy with economy?
I was refering to janosiczek post abou AI-
- Fails "AL", example: when archers attack my troops are standing and waiting for death
It happens in original KAM either and as I didn't yet played Your new version of remake, I don't know how does it works. Ans as janosiczek says- I also think that AI should be improved. Sometimes my units are already busy fighting enemy forces and it's too late to save them (or at least minimalize loses), or they're under heavy fire of enemy archers- which they don't respond properly (they either charge in every direction if they can, or they just stand and die). Hope I explained it well and didn't make any (big) language mistakes.

BTW: I've just readed what janosiczek written in his last post- I do agree about his idea of blocking specifical blocks in stronghold. It can be useful. His second idea isn't bad either but I suppose it'll be hard to do it, won't it? But it'd be great if You can do it (and if that won't take too much time of course- I'd rather like to see some new things instead of this small fix. Anyway- congratulations, I hope You're gonna keep doing this great job ;)

In F8 mode the game runs at x10 speed and renders at usual pace. This means that the more workers you have the more calculation need to be done, in increased speed of x10. When there's just too many calculation - there lefts no time to render the game.. Speed also depends on map size - bigger maps need more processing power. We are hoping to improve the situation somehow, but bugfixing comes first.

In the original KAM from SR3. I had over 700 helpers, + 200 - 300 others. The game went well on the (F8). I'm the type of person that likes to do big city. My goal, a dream is to make the town with 1,500 helpers, if you have any plans larger maps should be done. I know that it is easy to say do it, do that. But I hope you to do it. :) Kam remake is a good game. still needs some work.

janosiczek, thanks :)

I have placed a request on kamclub.ru, but none replied yet. Maybe someone can make a huge map in MapEditor (176*176) with 500 serfs and etc.. just a huge city and some armies. We then could use that map to run performance tests and optimize bottlenecks :)

Krom: I just wonder- can You add ANY number of buildings to Your remake or are there any restrictions (yes, i know it's beta and so on, and You;re gonna refine what You've already done- I'm just asking, not trying to hurry You :P ) ? Is there any way to add new resources, units, map objects and so on (animals for example-not just decorations but units). Thanks in advance, and good luck with Your remake ;)

Mixxer5, Thats one of the reasons we decided to write the Remake - we are in full control of the code and we can add anything that can fit into KaM. E.g. Marketplace. I thought about adding birds and clouds, roadsigns..

Every new idea goes through stages: first is the Idea, then we elaborate about Suitability for KaM world (many ideas are good but don't quite fit), after that comes Detalization when we think about all the side effects and minor details, very important step is Drawing (most of ideas pause here) since almost any feature involves something new being added which is not drawn yet, then comes Coding, and after that comes Testing and Release.

Well... That's really cool! I suppose that many ideas won't get into game but... How much serious games can have so many ideas? Usually developers don't use fans ideas- but this time fans make this game! ;) I think that's gonna be real success! About ideas and drawing- we've plenty of projects (altogether with ready models- but without "phases" of building) here on the forum. Most of them (if not all) will fit to KAM and as I suppose their makers won't opose adding them into game. Thx for answer.
